The Streamliner broke the 200 MPH speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1950 with a Mercury Flathead built by Vic Edelbrock. Alex Xydias, the original founder of SoCal Speed Shop, built the Streamline in the late 1940s, and it was driven by Dean Batchelor.
