Being offered for sale is a 1989 Ford Taurus SHO, with the 3.0L Yamaha engine and 4 speed. This car has been converted from a daily driver to a 24 Hour of Lemons competition car. It is equipped with a 22 gallon fuel cell, rollcage, gages, one piece race seat, and has plastic snap in windows for the sides. Also equipped with a Gen 2 sub-frame which incorporates true ball joints and the wheel hubs are easier to replace if needed. Current hubs have ARP studs for longevity along with upgraded brakes front and rear; front is 13 inch and rears are 11. Sparco quick release steering wheel installed. All parts procured through SHO Source.
Majority of the expense is in all the safety equipment, bigger brakes, and a fuel cell to replace the OEM.
We are selling as we currently have 6 cars we are fielding and something has to go, this is it. It does not have a safety harness nor fire extinguisher.
