Forced to sell my 1977 Lola T-506 Mini Grand Prix due to health reasons. I was building this with the intention of it being a fun car for autocrossing.
I call this Lolaris. It is a 1977 Lola T-506 now powered by a Polaris Indy 600cc 3 cylinder snowmobile engine. The car was originally powered by a Wankel rotary engine. This has been my project for the last 2 1/2 years but unfortunately due to health reasons I am unable to finish it. It started with a bare frame as seen in the last picture. Pretty much all that is left is to complete the brakes, a little body work including hold-downs, and paint. Of course there may be a few other odds and ends that may need tweaking. It also comes with a trailer complete with steel ramps and a remote control electric winch.
It is chassis number HU-32 and is listed on the Lola Heritage registry here
The engine came from a damaged 1996 Polaris snowmobile with just over 3,000 miles on it. The engine was gone over and the carbs were all checked and cleaned. The exhaust has been modified and has a cherry bomb type muffler. The car itself has independent suspension on all four corners with coil-overs and is fully adjustable for ride height, toe and camber. It has an older set of seat belts, which would be fine for autocross. The submarine belt has not been installed yet. The tires are Hoosier racing slicks and are all brand new and have never been driven on. It also has a brand new electric fuel pump, battery, electric cooling fan, drive belt and drive chain. It will also come with a box of odds and ends spare parts. The only other thing I planned on doing was to install a temperature gauge rather than the idiot light.
I have a video of her running but EBay"s stupid policies will not allow me to put a link from YouTube on here. If you want to email me I will gladly send you the link or you can do a search on YouTube for Lola T-506 running.
Naturally being a used project vehicle it is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. My reserve is basically just what I have into the car and trailer, so it"s pretty low.
